News of my prosecution—and my own mistakes which led to it—have come as a shock and surprise to many already. For some, nothing else about Chris Temple matters; and that is a legacy I now have to live with. A little placard I have here which says, “When I’m Right Nobody Remembers—and When I’m Wrong, Nobody Forgets” just took on a whole new meaning for me. Even when the day arrives when I can say I’ve finally righted my wrongs, it will matter little to a few (though it certainly will to ME.)
Confess your faults one to another . . .(see James 5:16)
This link will take you to my “confession” made in the Spring of 2003 to those investors I am still indebted to, explaining (as opposed to making excuses) to them how I got into a predicament that ended up affecting them.
Let not then your good be evil spoken of . . .(see Romans 14:16)
This link will take you to a step-by-step chronology of most everything that has occurred to date in my prosecution; one that has taken on an aura of being motivated by factors and parties well beyond the crimes I was charged with. Before now, I have not—for a number of reasons—deemed it advisable to discuss these factors publicly; in part, this has stemmed from my belief that I need to be accountable for my own actions.
Nevertheless, the government’s case against me has included some outrageously slanderous and incorrect “intelligence” about my character and my beliefs. As you’ll read, these have incorrectly been made a part of my record and sentence. I can no longer remain silent on these points, as the implications of how all of this has played into my prosecution, if it is left unaddressed and unchallenged, will not only leave people with a deliberately misleading picture of Yours Truly, but will undoubtedly affect many others in the future. |
